New Found Glory U.S. tour dates 2017. New Found Glory tickets and ...

Renowned for their energetic live shows, A New Found Glory toured up and down the East Coast in the late ’90s, selling out the entire pressing of their 1997 debut EP, It’s All About the Girls, along the way. (The EP was released by Fiddler Records, which later reissued Girls with new cover art in 2003.) The full-length debut effort Nothing Gold Can Stay followed in 1999 on Drive-Thru Records, and the album was reissued later that year when A New Found Glory signed a major-label contract with MCA. Another EP, 2000’s From the Screen to Your Stereo, found the boys tackling a number of cover songs; the disc also paved the way for the release of the band’s first gold-selling album, the self-titled New Found Glory, which appeared later that year. The latter album marked the official debut of the band’s new moniker, which dropped the indefinite article A from their original name. A high-profile tour with blink-182, an opening slot on the Warped Tour, and an appearance in the teen flick American Pie 2 helped increase New Found Glory’s exposure, and they stepped back into the studio at the end of 2001 to work on a follow-up record.

“I never get starstruck, but I couldn’t breathe,” Gilbert says. “People don’t know what star-struck is until they’ve met Tom Hanks.” The story goes like this: The son of New Found Glory’s A&R guy at MCA Records (now Universal Music Group) wanted to learn “Hit or Miss” for a talent show, and while the band was visiting the MCA exec’s house and teaching him the song, the son’s friend — Hanks’ son —  stopped by, with Hanks himself as chaperone.

But Gilbert and Pundik emphasize that the tour is “all about the fans,” and the plan from the jump was to celebrate in small clubs, like The Troubadour in West Hollywood (capacity 500) or The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J. (1,000), where the guys and their closest fans could mix it up and sing the oldies like they did at Cheers — the Miami bar where NFG (then A New Found Glory) played its first show in 1997.

“I went and bought a couple of new pedals and I’m in my living room, playing 75 different songs and practicing guitar leads we haven’t played in years,” guitarist Chad Gilbert tells Billboard. “We aren’t phoning this in, like, ‘Cool, we just get to play old songs.’ It’s more like, ‘How do we do this and blow people’s minds?’”

2. Resurrection “Number two is Resurrection. That was our first record as a four piece and I’m putting it in second place because it was our easiest record to make; there was no egos or insecurities involved whatsoever. I feel like it fits who we are better than a lot of our albums, too. It spoke truth about a lot of the things that we were going through and I think it did it in a way that was fresh for our fans, and they really cling to that album because it’s such an honest record. We really wanted to make a record that people would hear and feel connected to, like when we first started and there were stories that people really latched on to. I think Resurrection did that again, and I’ve seen people getting lyric tattoos because they really stand by them and they feel like they have a voice again, which the last couple of records didn’t have. There’s a catchy song, and then there’s a catchy song where you really feel the lyrics, and that’s the difference – do you know what I mean? I also love the fact that it’s four members playing four parts, and we didn’t layer a bunch of guitars or anything like that. And everywhere we play in the world, whether it’s Australia, Japan, England or the US, when we play the new songs it’s awesome and everyone sings along.”

On February 25, 2014, the band announced an 11 date UK tour with main support by The Story So Far, stopping in cities around the country including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff and Leeds. On May 18, the band announced on their Facebook page that they would release a new album in the fall of 2014. They also mentioned that it would be released by Hopeless Records. On May 27, the band announced that they had left Epitaph Records and would be signing to Hopeless Records, where their new album will be released in the fall of 2014. On August 5, they released a new single “Selfless” from the upcoming album Resurrection. The band also filmed a music video to release with the single. On September 9, they released a new single “Ready and Willing” from the upcoming album Resurrection. The band also filmed a music video to release with the single. On October 7, 2014, they released Resurrection. On July 22, 2015, the band announced they would reissue the album on October 8, retitled Resurrection: Ascension. It features two brand new studio tracks, two reworked songs and three acoustic tracks. On the day of announcement, they also rereleased “Vicious Love” featuring Hayley Williams on vocals.

“The goal is never be a copycat of ourselves,” Gilbert adds. “It’s more along the lines of taking risks in our music. You think of your first album, when we had no clue what we were doing, we had no clue if people were going to like it or not, we did it because we love it. And that went into Makes Me Sick, what we put into every record is never settling for what people expect of us. To keep growing and doing it in a new way, that’s the goal.”

“Four would be Sticks and Stones. I think it’s our biggest selling record and My Friend’s Over You is still an anthem today; I feel like that song is even larger than our band and it will live on forever even after the band is done. We were coming off the success of our self-titled record at the time, and we did a tour of the US with Blink-182 where we had to close with Hit or Miss every night because that was the song, and we were wondering if we could ever write another song to live up to that. My Friend’s Over You was actually the last song we wrote for the album, and now that’s our song and we have to close all our shows with that one. Another thing that’s crazy about that record is all the bands that have been named after it; All Time Low are named after Head On Collision and The Story So Far got their name from the last song on the record. So that one is a very important record to me, even though it’s not my all time favourite. It probably is number one to a lot of our fans though.”

When New Found Glory first started, a messy photocopied piece of paper was the way in which we would tell people about our shows. Never could we have imagined that such a simple, lost concept would now serve as the visual spark to reignite a lost memory. Stories Of A Different Kind is a storybook, but not a beginning-to-end narrative. It’s a journey through a time period that pre-dates social media: a time that newer fans might not know had existed and older fans can look back on. We are very excited to share it with everyone. You’re just as big of the reason why it exists as we are.

“I think five would have to be Coming Home. I like Coming Home a lot. That record was very ballsy for us. I guess we were one of the biggest pop punk bands of the time, and after the self-titled record, Sticks and Stones and Catalyst I think there was a specific thing that people expected from us, and that album was what they least expected. It had like piano rock and all this other stuff going on, and I loved that. The songs from that record don’t go over that well live, even though it’s the most requested album from our back catalogue, but I’d say it’s more of a band’s record; most people that I meet from other bands say that one is their favourite New Found Glory record. It seems to be the one that bands love, and I like that it’s respected musically, but I think it could have had a little more balls and grit to it in the production department. I think it could’ve bridged a little bit more on the distorted side, but overall I love the songs and it was definitely a record that made us realise we could do anything that we wanted in the sense that no one in the mainstream can be on top forever. And we never thought we’d be a massive band in the first place, so we just needed to keep doing what felt good in our guts, which meant making a record that was a natural reflection of who we were at the time. I think people identify with bands that they perceive to be sincere, and they’ll root for you even if they don’t love the record because they know that it’s real.”

Because you four have been together for so long, you think it wouldn’t be the best to throw in somebody new at this point?CG: Yeah that, and I think it wouldn’t feel right. I wouldn’t expect our fans to get used to some new member of the band. And also, we’re a punk rock band. Most punk rock bands just have a guitar, bass and drums. The Descendents, the Ramones, you name ’em, it’s just how it’s always been. A lot of our songs aren’t lacking a second part. We’re not playing intricate, shredding things where we need more. There’s not much of a loss sonically. I think a cool thing, too, is when we’re writing for our new album, we’ll be writing as a four-piece.

4. Sticks and Stones “Four would be Sticks and Stones. I think it’s our biggest selling record and My Friend’s Over You is still an anthem today; I feel like that song is even larger than our band and it will live on forever even after the band is done. So that one is a very important record to me, even though it’s not my all time favourite. It probably is number one to a lot of our fans though.”

After 16 years as a quintet, veteran pop-punkers New Found Glory are now a four-piece. Late last year, they dismissed original guitarist/part time lyricist Steve Klein over “personal differences” and indicated they planned on replacing his spot in the band. “We have not decided on who will fill Steve’s position however we will let you know our plans as soon as we figure that out,” they wrote in their official statement. After playing their first show since the shakeup on-board the Paramore-led Parahoy! Cruise, there’s a (no pun intended) newfound enthusiasm to go ahead as a true quartet. Vocalist Jordan Pundik and guitarist/backing vocalist Chad Gilbert fielded questions about the recent tumult in NFG and how they’ll pick up the pieces without Klein in the fold. They also shared plans for a new album later this year, along with tours of the United Kingdom and U.S.

“There are a lot of songs we haven’t played since we recorded them,” singer Jordan Pundik adds. “The later songs on Coming Home and Catalyst — listening to those records again, I find myself thinking, “Man, these sounded good!” I’m pumped.”

“I’m going to give number three to the self-titled record. That was our first major label record and I think we were at a place where we could’ve sold out. We knew they wanted us to be on the radio and so we could’ve totally sold out, but we didn’t. We knew that what got us to where we were was the energy and dynamic of the band with the crazy live shows and crowd interaction. I remember we recorded the album and they liked Hit or Miss, but I don’t think they thought the rest of the record was a big single type release. But we grew up in punk and hardcore so we were already way more successful than we thought we would ever be. That’s why we opened the record with Better Off Dead, which is like a super fast punk rock song, and I really think the record combined what we were trying to do at the time; we wanted the rhythm and chunkiness of New York hardcore mixed with an element of the West Coast punk rock that was going on at the time, and nothing really sounded like that back then. So I’m really proud of us for seeing a record contract and not being like, ‘Now we’ve got to do what they want.’ Instead we said, ‘You signed us for what we do and this is what we do.’ I think that said a lot, and it was a gold album so it sold really well. It’s crazy to think that we sold a gold album when we were teenagers.”

Between 2002 and 2004, the band experienced the height of their popularity with headline slots on the Warped Tour with Blink-182 and a supporting tour with Green Day. Third album and major label debut, Sticks and Stones was released on June 11, 2002 and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. The record spawned two popular singles; “My Friends Over You” and “Head on Collision”. Following the success of the album, the band headlined the 2002 Warped Tour and later saw the album certified gold by the RIAA.

Papa Roach

“We tapped into that on a track like ‘Scars’ back in the day, and we were, like, ‘All right. Let’s see if we wrote something in a major key again.’ We’ve done that with songs like ‘Lifeline’ in the past.”

Papa Roach’s music style has been largely debated and the band has been referred to under many different genres. These include hard rock, electronic rock, alternative metal, nu metal, rap rock and rap metal. Generally, however, they are simply referred to as a rock band.

Papa Roach - Wikipedia

In the summer of 2007 the band went on the Bad Boys of Rock tour, supporting Hinder. During the tour frontman Jacoby Shaddix and Hinder lead singer Austin John created a very tight friendship, causing the band to tour with Hinder on multiple tours in later years. It was revealed in 2015 that Shaddix and Austin wrote and recorded a song together for a part of Austin John’s solo project, although the two said they were not for sure if the song would ever see the light of day.

In 1994, Papa Roach released their first EP titled Potatoes for Christmas. Drummer Dave Buckner was temporarily replaced by Ryan Brown, as Buckner was spending the year in Seattle studying art. In 1995, they released a demo at Sound Farm Studios titled Caca Bonita. By this time Buckner was back. In 1996, they replaced original bass guitarist Will James, who had become heavily involved in a church summer camp, with Tobin Esperance, because James’ absence would limit the band’s summer practicing and touring. As Esperance had been with the band as a roadie for a while, the transition was an easy one.

Warner Bros. was not convinced by the demo, however, and elected not to sign them. The unreleased disc included the songs “Infest”, “Last Resort”, “Broken Home”, “Dead Cell”, and “She Loves Me Not” – the first four would later feature on their Infest album, and the last on Lovehatetragedy.

Papa Roach did an amazing job at not only keeping the crowd into the music, but also performing exceptionally. They sounded awesome, the show was awesome, the whole thing was great. They’re definitely a see again. Bands that don’t get the crowd going, don’t tell you to jump and sing and scream and put your hands up, just aren’t worth your time. If they don’t act like they want to be there then don’t waste your money on it. They were very worth the time and the money and the bruises I got from being in the mosh pit. Papa Roach is an amazing band with some really great guys that love what they do, I would most certainly say that they did a great job and that they are somebody I will recommend to anyone in to that genre of music. Loved the show, loved them. I’ll definitely be seeing them again.

The formation of Papa Roach began in January 1993, when lead singer Jacoby Shaddix and drummer Dave Buckner met on the Vacaville High School football field, where the two ended up talking about music. They were later joined by lead guitarist Jerry Horton from nearby Vanden High School (Horton was introduced to the band through his girlfriend), trombonist and rhythm guitarist Ben Luther and bass guitarist “Homie” Will James. They decided to enter the school’s talent show, where they performed a version of Jimi Hendrix’s song “Fire”, but they ultimately did not win the contest. In March 1993, Ben Luther left the band. At this point, Papa Roach were practicing every day and touring, playing every gig they could get. Their first tour van was called Moby Dick, where Jacoby was inspired to come up with his first stage name “Coby Dick”. The band’s name comes from Shaddix’s step-grandfather, Howard William Roatch, who was nicknamed Papa Roach. Roatch committed suicide in 2006 after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The band pays homage to him with The Paramour Sessions and during live performances of the song “Roses On My Grave”.

Papa Roach formed in 1993, when two of its members discussed the potential of a band on their school football field. Jacoby Shaddix and drummer Dave Buckner started the band and were soon joined by bass guitarist Will James and lead guitarist Jerry Horton. During these early days the band played every gig they could get, balancing school with performing. A year later they released their first EP, bizarrely entitled ‘Potatoes for Christmas’. In 1996 James was replaced by Tobin Esperance. In 1997 the band released their first full length album, entitled the self-explanatory ‘Old Friends from Young Years’. Their last two independent releases were in 1998 and 1999. The latter EP, ‘Let ‘Em Know’, earned them a record deal by DreamWorks Records.

On April 25, 2007, it was announced that drummer Dave Buckner would be sitting out the band’s touring schedule due to personal matters. He was expected to rejoin the group shortly afterwards. Jacoby Shaddix later confirmed in an interview with Launch Radio Networks that Dave had entered rehab to “go clean his act up ’cause he was out of his mind.” Unwritten Law drummer Tony Palermo filled in on drums.

Papa Roach was amazing at terminal 5! To be honest, the night kind of got started off slow with the opening acts and even Seether (although I love listening to them, maybe not the best performers). My expectations for Papa Roach were exceeded! They really know how to interact with a crowd and make the get the audience pumped and put on a GREAT show. They looked happy and entertained to play. Would definitely see again!

On July 10, 2014, it was announced that the band will release their new album, titled F.E.A.R., in early 2015. On October 9, 2014, it was announced that the new album will release on January 27, 2015 via Eleven Seven Music. During an interview, bassist Tobin Esperance has admitted that the new release is heavier than previous albums and describes how F.E.A.R. is the first time they’ve allowed other artists to feature on their records.

Despite their mainstream success, Papa Roach remain indie at heart. Their name is an indication of the real bond between the members and the history between them: Papa Roach was the nickname of Shaddix’s step-grandfather, who committed suicide in 2006 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. The band paid homage to him with the song ‘Roses on my Grave’.

This song is about the cutting and suicidal thoughts of one of the band’s friends. Papa Roach’s “Last Resort” held its ground on the Billboard Hot 100 for three straight months, making it one of the most famous rock songs released that year. With a slower tempo drum beat contrasted by a quick, driving melody, the instrumental composition almost sounds like a hip-hop song.

The concert was phenominal, so energetic, it was sold out so the place was packed. Seether was also a great show. The only issue I had was the prices we had to pay for VIP meet and greet, then we got whisked through, said hi and took pics, then we were escorted out very quickly. No chatting, no autographs, no nothing. However the entire show was so much fun. Read more Report as inappropriate

The band originally planned to release a compilation of acoustic recordings for their songs, such as “Forever”, “Scars”, and “Not Coming Home”, which was recorded for KROQ-FM’s charity Christmas album, Kevin and Bean’s Super Christmas. The acoustic compilation was later shelved. In an interview with billboard.com, Jacoby Shaddix stated that he didn’t think fans were ready for an acoustic direction from the band.

On January 8, 2010, Jacoby Shaddix announced on Papa Roach’s official Twitter account that the band was about to start working on new material. On February 8, Jerry Horton said that he was at the studio starting to write. The band also said on their website that they would be releasing “Big News”.

Papa Roach is an American rock band hailing all the way from Vacaville, California, USA. The band is an enormous success, gaining in fame since their start back in 1993. To date they have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. Papa Roach’s music style has been largely debated and the band has been referred to under many different genres. One of the best concerts I’ve been to!! Jacobi is awesome and the band is extremely appreciative of their fans. They performed fantastically. In This Moment was fabulous as was Five Finger Death Punch. Some of the best performances I have seen and I go to a lot of shows! Got to the venue a little late so we didn’t get to see much of From Ashes To New, but they sounded great , we had seen them previously with Hollywood Undead and they are wonderful up and coming band! Prior to the release of The Connection, guitarist Jerry Horton said in an interview by VerdamMnis Magazine that “It’s kind of a natural thing for us, we’ve always been changing throughout the years. Of course, there are some things that stay the same in our sound but we do like to try new things to sort of stretch out a little bit our basis and therefore make it more interesting”. He also said that the band was going to explore “electronic sounds for the next record”.

“My first kiss was when my uncle kissed me and he gave me herpes. It was terrible. Anybody else got herpes? Yeah, you do. Don’t lie to yourself. I know you got it, you watching this,” he added.

Well, of course at the time we were listening to a lot of Wu Tang Clan, a lot of hip-hop, and a lot of Fugees and a lot of East Coast hip-hop…I was playing something on piano and Jacoby came in and started scatting over it. And we just did our typical mixing of a funky kind of hip-hop groove with a punk rock chorus. We did it over and over again, and Jacoby put his lyrics to it, and the song just morphed into what it is now. No one ever thought it was going to be a huge, huge hit, but I guess you never expect anything, really, when you’re first starting out.

In China, the Telecommunications Regulations of the People’s Republic of China (promulgated on 25 September 2000), stipulated the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as the government department regulating all telecommunications related activities, including electronic commerce. On the same day, The Administrative Measures on Internet Information Services released, is the first administrative regulation to address profit-generating activities conducted through the Internet, and lay the foundation for future regulations governing e-commerce in China. On 28 August 2004, the eleventh session of the tenth NPC Standing Committee adopted The Electronic Signature Law, which regulates data message, electronic signature authentication and legal liability issues. It is considered the first law in China’s e-commerce legislation. It was a milestone in the course of improving China’s electronic commerce legislation, and also marks the entering of China’s rapid development stage for electronic commerce legislation.

With the existence of e-commerce, it brings convenience for customers as they do not have to leave home and only need to browse website online, especially for buying the products which are not sold in nearby shops. It could help customers buy wider range of products and save customers’ time. Then, the online shopping often provides sales promotion or discounts code, thus it is more price effective for customers. Moreover, e-commerce provides products’ detailed information; even the in-store staff cannot offer such detailed explanation. Customers can also review and track the order history online. However, e-commerce is lack of human interaction for customers, especially who prefer face-to-face consumption. When the customer regrets to purchase the product, it involves returning goods and refunding process. This process is inconvenient as customers need to pack and post the goods. If the products are expensive, large or fragile, it refers to safety issues.

I love the projects here, as there is such a variety. One day I could be doing a logo for a Teddy Bear company, the next, I’m sorting out re-branding for Cuban Cigars.

The Manuka honey health benefits are clear to see, however it also has beauty benefits, too. ‘Pure, organic Manuka Honey is the perfect natural alternative for curing acne and skin infections,’ says skincare expert Malvina Fraser. ‘It’s also a natural moisturiser that improves skin hydration because it’s able to absorb moisture directly from the air and draw it into the skin.’

Whether it was with the Far Eastern Vedic tradition or ancient Greek mythology, or in Biblical times, where the promised land was known as the “land flowing with milk and honey.” cultures around the globe have praised honey for being an amazing healing treasure.

In terms of honey being used as a medicine, ‘medical grade honey’ is licensed around the world for wound care treatment. There have been many recent research developments stemming from Cardiff University which have shown honeys in general, and particularly manuka honey, as effective with chronic wounds and MRSA (antibiotic-resistant infection).

Continued How Manuka Honey Is Used The main medical use for manuka honey is on top of a wound. It is generally used for treating minor wounds and burns. Manuka honey is also marketed for use in many other conditions. These include: Preventing and treating cancer Reducing high cholesterol Reducing systemic inflammation Treating diabetes Treating eye, ear, and sinus infections Treating gastrointestinal problems But the evidence is limited on whether or not manuka honey is effective for these conditions. The honey used to treat wounds is a medical-grade honey. It is specially sterilized and prepared as a dressing. So the jar of manuka honey in the pantry should not be considered part of a first aid kit. Wounds and infections should be seen and treated by a health care professional. What the Science Says About Manuka Honey Several recent studies show manuka honey is effective when used on top of wounds and leg ulcers. Studies also show it’s effective in fighting infection and promoting healing. But not all studies show that it helps to heal ulcers. And there is concern that manuka honey may actually delay healing in people who have ulcers related to diabetes. The Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database lists honey as being “possibly effective” to treat burns and wounds. The Cochrane Review notes that honey may shorten healing times in mild burns compared with traditional dressings. However, honey dressings do not increase leg ulcer healing at 12 weeks even when used with compression wraps. Another recent study suggests that manuka honey may be effective in preventing gingivitis and other periodontal disease by reducing the buildup of plaque. And in 2010, the scientific steering committee of the National Cancer Institute approved a proposal for the use of manuka honey for the reduction of inflammation of the esophagus associated with chemotherapy. Another possible benefit of honey is that, unlike antibiotics, it has not been reported to cause development of resistant bacteria. These so-called “superbugs” develop after repeated exposure to common antibiotics. They require special antibiotics to treat them. So far, studies have not shown manuka honey to be effective for treating high cholesterol or balancing the bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. Also, no major studies have looked at the effect of manuka honey on cancer, diabetes, or fungal infections.

Harvey Nichols, £14.95 (250g). While its leptosperin levels are a respectable 205mg/kg, it scored only 77.9mg/kg for MGO, just below the minimum that is said to provide health-boosting benefits.

Mānuka honey is markedly viscous, having the highest viscosity among a range of honeys. This property is due to the presence of a protein or colloid and is its main visually defining character, along with its typical dark cream to dark brown colour. To be labelled New Zealand mānuka honey, at least 70% of its pollen content should come from Leptospermum scoparium.

Is Manuka honey worth the money? Manuka honey has become increasingly popular in recent years, and can be very expensive. It tends to be sold as having health benefits – but what is the evidence for these? Manuka honey originated in New Zealand, and it is made from nectar collected by bees that forage on the wild manuka tree, which give it a distinctive flavour. But what about its supposed health benefits? Most honey is believed to have some bacteria killing properties because it contains chemicals that produce hydrogen peroxide. However, in 1991 a study from the Honey Research Unit in New Zealand showed that when you remove the hydrogen peroxide from a range of honeys, manuka was the only type that kept its ability to kill bacteria. This is due to the presence of a unique ingredient, now identified as methylglyoxal, which has specific antimicrobial properties. In response to this discovery, jars of manuka honey began to be marketed bearing a UMF number – “Unique Manuka Factor” – relating to how many bacteria the honey could kill once the hydrogen peroxide had been removed. The labelling on jars has, however, caused some confusion. As well as the UMF rating, some jars display MGO, (methylglyoxal) which equates to the same sort of measurement, while others show NPA or TA. The NPA (non-peroxide activity) rating is similarly founded on the level of methyglyoxal the honey contains once the hydrogen peroxide has been removed. TA is instead the total activity, so this includes the hydrogen peroxide, which is present in normal honey. At the same time, some jars can be found with ‘Activity’ or ‘Active’ next to numbers, while some just have numbers alone with no explanation as to their justification. The Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) in New Zealand has released its own voluntary labelling guidelines. What about its medical properties? In terms of honey being used as a medicine, ‘medical grade honey’ is licensed around the world for wound care treatment. There have been many recent research developments stemming from Cardiff University which have shown honeys in general, and particularly manuka honey, as effective with chronic wounds and MRSA (antibiotic-resistant infection). However, it is very important to note that any honey used in this capacity will be medical-grade honey with the impurities removed: you should not apply any honey to your wounds at home.Instead, many people buy it thinking that it might help with sore throats, gut problems or even allergies. So what is the evidence for these benefits? There is not enough evidence that methylglyoxal survives being eaten, nor that it does any good inside the body. This is not an area in which a lot of independently-funded research has been done, but although there is as mall bit of evidence that in general honey can soothe a sore throat, there is not yet conclusive evidence to suggest that eating shop-bought manuka honey will be any more effective at this than a cheaper alternative. Similarly, there hasn’t been robust conclusive evidence to show it can be used to ease indigestion. So, although some people will swear by its properties, this has not been backed up by clinical trials. ‘Manuka Honey can be used on its own as a facial mask by simply applying the honey on a clean damp face,’ says Malvina Fraser. ‘However, my favourite Manuka honey mask includes coconut oil and avocado to intensely hydrate. This delicious smelling mask eradicates any dryness and leaves you with a healthy, luminous glow.’

With no escape from coughs and sneezes, especially on our daily commutes on the packed tube or condensation-laden buses, the best way to tackle getting ill this winter is to try and prevent it in the first place. Manuka honey’s uses spread beyond prevention, and can even help once illness has taken grip.

“It is a nightmare, I don’t feel safe any more,” says Kearney as she sits at her kitchen table on her family’s farm, 40km east of the Northland hub of Kaitaia. “I feel violated. It has almost turned into a PTSD experience for me.”

Our raw Active Manuka Honey is produced in the South Island of New Zealand. Manuka has been widely publicised for its medicinal and health benefits. Because of UK Law we are not allowed to repeat any medicinal research that has been carried out, but we can say that our Manuka Honey is the most rigorously tested Manuka on the market. We test for MGO methylglyoxal, this is the chemical found in Manuka honey that actually creates its activity. This is the only reliable way of testing Manuka honey and we do not subscribe to comparing it to phenol or carbolic as many suppliers do. Comparative testing is now known to be more reliant on the tester’s opinion than scientific proof. We supply Manuka in the equivalent strengths of 10 and 15 plus varieties as an aid to promoting good health. We also supply a basic Manuka and also a Wildflower and Manuka honey.

There are many health disorders associated with poor sleep such as, heart disease, type II diabetes, stroke, and arthritis. Since honey is proven to aid in quality sleep; it also helps lower the risk of these and many other heath problems.

When a good idea comes along, particularly in the health and wellbeing field, people often pick up on its essence rather than its detail. Take the “five a day” edict, for example. Everyone knows that it means you should eat five portions of fruit and veg a day, but most of us get a bit hazy on the detail. If you have a huge portion, does it count as two? (No.) And potatoes are a vegetable, aren’t they, so do they count? (Again, no.) It’s even more confusing when you take a newer idea like the benefits of Manuka honey, which has become a much-hyped superfood. But what does it do, exactly? A recent survey of people who bought the stuff showed that 58 per cent of them believed Manuka honey to be better than ordinary honey, but they didn’t know why. In addition, 70 per cent of them didn’t know what the UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) number on the front of the pots meant. Manuka honey has long had a reputation as a “healing” honey and, because it comes from bees that have been busy pollinating the Manuka trees that grow almost exclusively in the East Cape region of New Zealand, it has rarity value. This makes it expensive. Local honey containing local pollen can help reduce the symptoms of hay fever. Most honeys contain a naturally occurring active agent, which is thought to support good health but is easily destroyed when exposed to heat and light. Manuka honey contains an extra, naturally occurring active ingredient, which makes it distinct from other honeys. This additional component is stable and doesn’t lose its potency when exposed to heat, light or dilution. Its special quality is known as UMF and the higher the UMF, the more potent the honey and its powers (aficionados reckon that you need a UMF of 10 or higher for the honey to be properly effective). It has antiviral and antibacterial actions, which is a good excuse for scoffing the stuff neat at the first sign of a cold or sore throat. Most people who buy Manuka honey simply put it on their toast or in their tea, but where it really comes into its own is in treating wounds. In New Zealand, it has long been used in this way and studied extensively. Now, the NHS is doing the same. According to doctors, Manuka honey’s high sugar content creates a waterless environment in which the bacteria that are infecting a wound are unable to survive. Also, thanks to the presence of an enzyme called glucose oxidase, it is acidic, which apparently adds to its unique antibacterial properties. It seems a shame to confine such a wonder substance to the boring business of healing wounds – hence the proliferation of skincare products containing Manuka honey. Will they really help heal your skin and enhance natural cell renewal better than their non-UMF-bearing competitors? It’s a sweet idea, but one that you might have to take with a pinch of salt. Through the years they have had tremendous talent and have been well coached. Having finished in the top 5 in 11 of the last 15 EuroBasket’s shows their consistency. The ball may not be kicked, nor be struck with the fist. For the offense, a violation of these rules results in loss of possession; for the defense, most leagues reset the shot clock and the offensive team is given possession of the ball out of bounds.

Ketchapp Basketball - Android Apps on Google Play

Offensive plays are more varied, normally involving planned passes and movement by players without the ball. A quick movement by an offensive player without the ball to gain an advantageous position is known as a cut. A legal attempt by an offensive player to stop an opponent from guarding a teammate, by standing in the defender’s way such that the teammate cuts next to him, is a screen or pick. The two plays are combined in the pick and roll, in which a player sets a pick and then “rolls” away from the pick towards the basket. Screens and cuts are very important in offensive plays; these allow the quick passes and teamwork, which can lead to a successful basket. Teams almost always have several offensive plays planned to ensure their movement is not predictable. On court, the point guard is usually responsible for indicating which play will occur.

If a player is fouled while attempting a shot and the shot is successful, typically the player will be awarded one additional free throw for one point. In combination with a regular shot, this is called a “three-point play” or “four-point play” (or more colloquially, an “and one”) because of the basket made at the time of the foul (2 or 3 points) and the additional free throw (1 point).

A block is performed when, after a shot is attempted, a defender succeeds in altering the shot by touching the ball. In almost all variants of play, it is illegal to touch the ball after it is in the downward path of its arc; this is known as goaltending. It is also illegal under NBA and Men’s NCAA basketball to block a shot after it has touched the backboard, or when any part of the ball is directly above the rim. Under international rules it is illegal to block a shot that is in the downward path of its arc or one that has touched the backboard until the ball has hit the rim. After the ball hits the rim, it is again legal to touch it even though it is no longer considered as a block performed.

Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is switched on and your ball is connected to your phone before taking a shot. Also, Wilson X is designed to track standard shots with proper rotation and arc – trick shots, passes and dribbles aren’t tracked. If your shots still aren’t registering, close out the app and restart. If the problem continues, call our Wilson product experts at 1-800-874-5930.

We will continue to work tirelessly to identify young talent and involve them in either the Senior or U23 program. In terms of the Celtic Cup clash in June everyone involved is very excited to dip our toes into true International competition”.

Another shot that is becoming common is the “circus shot”. The circus shot is a low-percentage shot that is flipped, heaved, scooped, or flung toward the hoop while the shooter is off-balance, airborne, falling down, and/or facing away from the basket. A back-shot is a shot taken when the player is facing away from the basket, and may be shot with the dominant hand, or both; but there is a very low chance that the shot will be successful.

Think things have been quiet since the NCAA championship game? Actually, it’s the exact opposite. During a frenzied month, some have had a good run (Kentucky), some bad (Oregon) and some so-so (Michigan).

Picture the Scene:  A potential client calls your company.  You’re out of the office.  After staying on the telephone while listening to a recording, they hang up and dial your competitor.  You have just witnessed a classic marketing disaster.  This lost client needed your services so much that he attempted to personally contact you!  In the meantime, your precious dollars in advertising, education, training and state-of-the-art equipment continue to be under-utilized.

When I meet people I look for any connections we have outside of work. In fact, I purposefully do not ask, “What do you do?” unless they ask me first. Of course, I’m interested but I’d much rather find out something unusual about them. One powerful question to ask is, “What are you most excited about right now?

This one is easy to do but just as easy to forget. I shoot quick texts, emails, article or even a book over to people when I know it’s something they’re interested in. One of my favourite follow-ups is a personal handwritten note. I know this seems outdated now but I guarantee it makes a huge impression precisely because everything is so digital today.

As someone who travels occasionally from outside Aberdeen but with visibility across Scotland, it’s been a delight to see how TBC has grown over the last 18 months. Recently it was particularly encouraging to meet a number of people at the Ian Marchant event who evidently had no Christian connection at all but who were comfortable coming and enjoyed the event. When this is happening it’s clear that your aim of serving the business community, whatever their background is being delivered.I have made and followed up on several good connections formed at The Business Connection monthly events.I often receive great nuggets of information from either the people attending or the monthly speaker. I have also made some good connections and friends.I think it is an excellent initiative – and I commend everyone involved. Aberdeen is a pretty tough business environment at the moment and this support can only be beneficial. It’s a positive, encouraging and supportive space.  You guys are doing a great job! This is a unique group and I am really glad I have started attending. It is great to meet other Christians in a non-Church setting.  Speakers have been great.Great connections with other working professionals in Aberdeen City/area; very good topics for monthly Friday sessions.I found about Business Connection through Eventbrite. I had the chance to meet Pete and Valentine amazing people and with whom I’m going to move further on for my business. For me, it is an excellent opportunity to know organizational culture and how business are made in Aberdeen.Very welcoming and friendly. The monthly breakfasts in particular are very informative and relevant. It’s good to meet and share experiences in a friendly environment.I have been attending regularly now nearly 3 months. I was impressed that the business meetings set by Christians but anyone can attend. There is always some inspiration and encouragement for each other with opportunities for connecting and networking.  Monthly meetings with guests are also very good.PrevNext

If we stopped there, Quake 2 would still be an excellent port, but the improvements go further – for instance, character textures are displayed at full resolution on Xbox 360. The original PC OpenGL version downsamples character art to the next lowest power of two, while the Xbox 360 port simply uses the textures as they were originally stored, giving the impression of slightly increased detail. The option to sidestep this appears in a number of other source ports but it wasn’t present in the original Quake 2 code. Animation is also improved thanks to a rewritten GPU-accelerated interpolation method that uses a vertex shader to blend two vertex streams together.

PartnerNet, the developers-only alternative Xbox Live network used by developers to beta test game content downloads and games developed for Xbox Live Arcade, runs on Xbox 360 debug kits, which are used both by developers and by the gaming press. In a podcast released on February 12, 2007, a developer breached the PartnerNet non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by commenting that he had found a playable version of Alien Hominid and an unplayable version of Ikaruga on PartnerNet. A few video game journalists, misconstruing the breach of the NDA as an invalidation of the NDA, immediately began reporting on other games being tested via PartnerNet, including a remake of Jetpac. (Alien Hominid for the Xbox 360 was released on February 28 of that year, and Ikaruga was released over a year later on April 9, 2008. Jetpac was released for the Xbox 360 on March 28, 2007 as Jetpac Refuelled.) There have also been numerous video and screenshot leaks of game footage on PartnerNet, as well as a complete version of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, which caused for the whole PartnerNet service to be shut down overnight on April 3, 2010. In the following days, Microsoft began reminding developers and journalists that they are in breach of NDA by sharing information about content available on PartnerNet, and has been asking websites to remove lists of games in development discovered on PartnerNet.

Culling of unseen polygons is also eliminated in the Xbox 360 version, deemed unnecessary due to the paltry number of triangles used per map – meaning that the entire world is drawn each and every frame. Additionally, items were loaded at start-up rather than using the original mid-level caching system, eliminating hitches and skips that could occur as the game was streamed from the DVD. Light maps were also built at map load, which was necessary in order to utilise eDRAM tiling. Lastly, an entirely new liquid shader is used for water, lava, and slime, changing the appearance of the surface animation. Additional animation is also added to the water mesh, allowing it to slosh around, as opposed to remaining entirely flat.

Gaming consoles don’t come much bigger than the Xbox 360 which first arrived to great fanfare back in 2005. Alongside the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 has led the way in gaming tech for years and with it continually benefitting from boundary pushing games, it has become one of the most successful consoles of all time.

Playing Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One is free and simple All you need to do is insert a Xbox 360 disc into your system or download it directly from the online marketplace. Much like Xbox One games, everything is installed straight to your hard drive, so make sure you’ve got enough space.

lubba May 19, 2014, 11:53 pm how they fucked you up? The author explained the problematic reasons for making backwards compatibility. I’m sure they working on it but gotta make work first. Don’t jump the gun. Xbox one is a new system, not an upgraded one.

The main reason to buy the latest console is to play its exclusive games. And here the Xbox One has a few fantastic Forza racing games, Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars, and more.

Xbox 360 AccessoriesHere at Very, we have a fantastic range of accessories to suit every gaming style. If you’re all about the high-speed chase, pick an ultra-sensitive racing wheel to help you turn every corner with maximum precision. For big multiplayer fans, go for a cushioned headset with a built-in mic, so you don’t miss any of the action when you’re working as a team. Make sure you’re sitting comfortably with a specially designed gaming chair with built-in speakers to bring you right into the action.

The Xbox 360 is so much more than a gamer’s paradise: it’s now an incredible entertainment hub for the whole family with fantastic new additional features. You can use the console to watch HD films and stream the latest episodes of your fave TV shows, as well as to challenge each other to a race or an action-packed battle. Amazing Kinect motion-sensor technology makes controlling the system even simpler with easy voice and gesture commands. Here at Very, you can stock up on a huge library of games, from big-name favourites like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto, to blockbuster-inspired adventures and Disney titles that big kids will love as much as little ones do.

idlelimey November 20, 2013, 12:30 pm Not at all, and that would work too. I’m not at all sure there’s a BC issue – as you say, just play 360 games through a 360. It would be a ‘nice to have’ thing that, in all likelihood, I’d never use. But, I suppose that’s not to say that there could be a lot of people out there who would want this feature? Maybe there’s a poll out there.

Unlike Playstation’s Now streaming service, which charges for all games even if you previously owned them, this Xbox 360 emulation on Xbox One will be completely free for all supported games. That’s definitely a nice touch.

If you haven’t connected to Xbox Live in a while, your console software might need updating. If a game disc includes a newer version of the console software than you currently have, the game disc will prompt you to install the update when you start the game.

Surprisingly, even in this mode, the game manages to maintain a remarkably stable 60fps. In fact, Quake 2 is still so much fun to play that having a copy of this disc lying around makes for a great old-school split-screen experience amongst friends. There aren’t many games with four-player split-screen support – on these consoles, after all, and Quake 2 may well be the only one to simultaneously support 1080p60.

The Xbox 360’s successor, the Xbox One, was released on November 22, 2013. On April 20, 2016, Microsoft announced that it would end the production of new Xbox 360 hardware, although the company will continue to support the platform.

If you’re looking for something new to listen to, watch or play, look no further than the musicMagpie Store. We sell over half a million new and used CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays, Games and Vinyl, spanning all kinds of genres and consoles, with prices starting from just £1.19! We also sell a wide range of refurbished Mobile Phones and Tech from major brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft and much more. The conversion isn’t perfect though – mouse look wasn’t translated all that well to the right analog stick, resulting a large dead zone and a lack of subtle movement. Aiming feels a bit clunky as a result, though thankfully most of the weapons don’t require great accuracy in single-player. Furthermore, the field of view is set to 74 degrees, resulting in a slightly more claustrophobic experience than a more comfortable 90 or 100 on PC. It seems likely that this change was made to accommodate TV use, as we can’t imagine higher FOV settings have a real impact on performance in this case. The more garish colours visible in this port may not be to everyone’s liking either, but it definitely gives the game a refreshed look if you’re used to the stock PC release. Lastly, unlike most other Xbox 360 titles, we were unable to install this particular disc to the hard drive – the system returns an error when attempting to reach the game details screen.

You can use the Kinect camera with the Xbox 360, but it is an additional cost for an extra device. Current versions of the Xbox 360 come with a dedicated port for the Kinect Sensor, but a quick scout around the internet suggests that it will set you back at least £100.

It doesn’t stop there – the game’s core image quality is exceptionally impressive as well, thanks to full support for 4x multi-sampling anti-aliasing (MSAA). Depending on the set-up of the internal rendering, a full 1080p frame-buffer with 4x MSAA requires enough memory that the programmer would be required to use anything up to seven eDRAM tiles – an impressive feat considering its early release time frame.

What’s great about the Xbox One backwards compatibility service is that even though it’s running your Xbox 360 games within an emulator, you can still take advantage of the Xbox One features while you play. That includes Game DVR, the ability to snap an application to your game and broadcast your gameplay.

However, by the time this was introduced, it’s fair to say that most 360 owners had long since forgotten about Quake 2 – and 1080p televisions were still relatively rare too. However, our tests confirm that the id game had the capability to render at full HD right from launch, presumably in order to offer superior image quality to those using 1080i displays.

mothergoose85 November 20, 2013, 2:41 pm I do know what you mean – I was talking to my colleagues about this at lunch as we were discussing which console we’d go for. I’m going to wait for the comparison reviews first and see what comes of it.Due to the lack of backwards compatibility I am not tied to a particular ecosystem any more so I might very well switch to the PS4 if it is better (I’d prefer to stay with xbox but it depends on what your friends do as well doesn’t it).

To turn the Xbox One into a backwards compatible machine, Microsoft has built an Xbox 360 emulator that will run on the new console. This basically means that Microsoft has essentially built an Xbox 360 in software, which then runs within the Xbox One. This emulator does all the same things as the Xbox 360, but it just sits inside the newer console.

The only restrictions to the full Xbox 360 games catalogue being ported over is peripherals. Sadly, you won’t ever be able to play Xbox 360 Kinect games on the Xbox One, because you can’t connect your old Kinect to the new machine. And the new Kinect isn’t compatible with the older titles due to its advanced technology.

Beyond that, Quake 2 seemingly uses full 16x anisotropic filtering to further refine the clarity of its textures at oblique angles. Delivering such a clean image at a near perfect 60fps is a great achievement considering the fact that it was just a bonus disc with a low budget behind it. There’s no doubt that the Quake 2 engine’s support for OpenGL, Glide, PowerSGL, and software backend helped make this port to DirectX a bit easier than the (then) OpenGL-only idTech 4 engine powering Quake 4. Remarkably, Quake 2 delivers – quite possibly – the single cleanest image output we’ve seen on the Xbox 360. Of course, the lack of complex shaders and materials helps keep aliasing at bay, but the results remain impressive nonetheless.

Aknemycin Plus Aknemycin solution contains the antibiotic erythromycin as well as the retinoic acid tretinoin. It is important that you complete your course as prescribed, as the bacteria which cause acne can get resistant to the medication in aknemycin if you finish your course prematurely. To use aknemycin, wash your face with a mild soap and rinse thoroughly with water. Apply a thin layer of aknemycin to the affected areas. Back to top

15 / 15 Systemic Therapy Systemic therapy refers to acne medication that is taken by mouth. Antibiotics like tetracycline, minocycline, doxycycline, or erythromycin may treat moderate to severe acne by targeting bacteria and reducing inflammation. Other systemic therapies include oral contraceptives, which can reduce acne in some women, spironolactone, an anti-androgen hormone pill, and isotretinoin (high-dose prescription vitamin A). Isotretinoin is used only in certain severe, cystic acne cases, or in cases where other treatments don’t work. A course of isotretinoin treatment requires regular appointments with your dermatologist.

Acne - Wikipedia

Isotretinoin is an oral retinoid that is very effective for severe nodular acne, and moderate acne that is stubborn to other treatments. One to two months use is typically adequate to see improvement. Acne often resolves completely or is much milder after a 4–6 month course of oral isotretinoin. After a single course, about 80% of people report an improvement, with more than 50% reporting complete remission. About 20% of patients require a second course. Although concerns have emerged that isotretinoin use is linked with an increased risk of psychiatric side effects, such as depression and suicidality, there is no clear evidence to support these claims. Isotretinoin use in women of childbearing age is regulated due to its known harmful effects in pregnancy. For such a woman to be considered a candidate for isotretinoin, she must have a confirmed negative pregnancy test and use an effective form of birth control. In 2008, the United States started the iPLEDGE program to prevent isotretinoin use during pregnancy. iPledge requires the woman under consideration for isotretinoin therapy to have two negative pregnancy tests and mandates the use of two types of birth control for at least one month before therapy begins and one month after therapy is complete. The effectiveness of the iPledge program has been questioned due to continued instances of contraception nonadherence.

Adult acne can also be aggravated by internal and external factors. Internally, the psychological effects of adult acne can contribute to continued flare-ups and breakouts. When adults are frustrated by the signs of acne on their skin, it causes additional emotional stress, which contributes to a continued over-activity of the sebaceous glands and leads to the continued cycle of breakouts. Externally, the need to “pick” or “squeeze” breakouts places even more bacteria on skin. Highlandproductfindersearch

9 / 15 Mild Acne Acne falls into the “mild” category if you have fewer than 20 whiteheads or blackheads, fewer than 15 inflamed bumps, or fewer than 30 total lesions. Mild acne is usually treated with over-the-counter topical medicine. It may take up to eight weeks to see a significant improvement. Swipe to advance

In the 16th century, the French physician and botanist François Boissier de Sauvages de Lacroix provided one of the earlier descriptions of acne. He used the term “psydracia achne” to describe small, red and hard tubercles that altered a person’s facial appearance during adolescence, and were neither itchy nor painful.

Antibiotics, both topical and systemic, are used but resistance is increasing. One study found that four in five teenagers with acne showed some resistance to antibiotics.

Amazing cleanser, after 3 weeks of usage my skin has cleared, I only have some blackheads left. It doesnt irritate my skin or leaves it dry, it’s great. I’m not buying anything else but this!

Many skin conditions can mimic acne vulgaris and are collectively known as acneiform eruptions. Such conditions include angiofibromas, epidermal cysts, flat warts, folliculitis, keratosis pilaris, milia, perioral dermatitis, and rosacea, among others. Age is one factor which may help distinguish between these disorders. Skin disorders such as perioral dermatitis and keratosis pilaris can appear similar to acne but tend to occur more frequently in childhood, whereas rosacea tends to occur more frequently in older adults. Facial redness triggered by heat or the consumption of alcohol or spicy food is suggestive of rosacea. The presence of comedones helps health professionals differentiate acne from skin disorders that are similar in appearance. Chloracne, due to exposure to certain chemicals, may look very similar to acne vulgaris.
Acne Cleaner
5 03 April 2016 SuzeWell I actually got send this product my mistake (I ordered the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser), but Beauty Bay was very good about it and told me I could keep this product (Customer service was amazing), so I thought I might as well try it, right? Well, I have to say the first few times I didn’t really like it because it doesn’t really foam up and it doesn’t leave your face squeaky clean. But at the same time my skin started to clear up really fast. I think this gel cleanser is just really gentle, but affective. I used too associate clean skin with a very tight feeling after showering but this is just so comfortable. It shows that you don’t have to dry your skin out to clean it. I just ordered my second bottle of this stuff because I love it so much. My skin feels soothed and since I have cystic and hormonal acne that is amazing.

5 30 December 2016 AnonWTF!!! This is some miracle working stuff. I received it after an extremely long wait (1month) but I would say it as definitely worth the wait, my skin feels and looks so different. I’ve never suffered from acne, but do get the odd spot now and then, but this has transformed my skin. My skin looks so much more healthy after only 3 washes. I wouldn’t recommend using the product without the Mario badescu special cucumber lotion because it helps rebalance the skin and get rid of the oiliness. Also I had a bad allergic reaction to hairspray which left scarring and I can already see it fading away, even though I had been using proactive plus it didn’t lighten the scarring.Use a good moisturiser too as it does tighten and dry your skin but you will definitely see results within a few uses.

Treatment of acne with topical crushed dry ice (termed “cryoslush”) was first described in 1907, but is no longer performed commonly. Prior to 1960, the use of X-rays was also a common treatment.

Frequently used topical retinoids include adapalene, isotretinoin, retinol, tazarotene, and tretinoin. They often cause an initial flare-up of acne and facial flushing, and can cause significant skin irritation. Generally speaking, retinoids increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight and are therefore recommended for use at night. Tretinoin is the least expensive of the topical retinoids and is the most irritating to the skin, whereas adapalene is the least irritating to the skin but costs significantly more. Tazarotene, the most effective of the topical retinoids, is the most expensive, and is not as well-tolerated. Retinol is a form of vitamin A that has similar but milder effects, and is used in many over-the-counter moisturizers and other topical products.

I couldn’t recommend this enough. Doesn’t over-dry, lightly scented, great value for money. Not only did this clear up my mild/moderate acne, but this has prevented break outs from reoccurring. I’ve had prescription medication which doesn’t even come close to how good MB skin care is.

5 28 May 2012 EmmaThis is the best facial cleanser I´ve tried so far! I´m 25, and still got problems with acne. I can´t say that my skin is flawlessly perfect, but this one in combination with special cucumber toner and drying mask has done wonders! I also use the moisturizer for oily skin and I can go a whole day without feeling greasy. One bottle last half a year for me.

Also see your GP if you develop nodules or cysts, as they need to be treated properly to avoid scarring. Try to resist the temptation to pick or squeeze the spots, as this can lead to permanent scarring.

Atrophic acne scars have lost collagen from the healing response and are the most common type of acne scar (account for approximately 75% of all acne scars). They may be further classified as ice-pick scars, boxcar scars, and rolling scars. Ice-pick scars are narrow (less than 2 mm across), deep scars that extend into the dermis. Boxcar scars are round or ovoid indented scars with sharp borders and vary in size from 1.5–4 mm across. Rolling scars are wider than icepick and boxcar scars (4–5 mm across) and have a wave-like pattern of depth in the skin.

Many things are sold to treat acne, the most popular being benzoyl peroxide. Many of these things have not been scientifically proven to help acne. However, a mix of commercial and homemade treatments can help with acne for various reasons.

12 / 15 Acne Conglobata Acne conglobata is one of the most severe forms of acne. It involves many inflamed nodules that are connected under the skin to other nodules. It can affect the neck, chest, arms, and buttocks. It often leaves scars. This type of acne is more common in men and is sometimes caused by taking steroids or testosterone. Timely treatment by a dermatologist is essential. Swipe to advance

Acne vulgaris is the medical name for common acne — the presence of blackheads, whiteheads, and other types of pimples on the skin. The most common spots for breakouts are the face, chest, shoulders, and back. Although mild acne may improve with over-the-counter treatments, more severe forms should be treated by a dermatologist.
